Gabi has spent the last 12 years working as a choreographer and dance teacher in youth theatre. She trained to an advanced level in ballet, tap and jazz at Thanet Stage School in Kent and from there went on to perform in several national summer seasons and music videos.
Alongside performance, Gabi found herself spending more time behind the scenes, taking jobs choreographing productions as a student in Aberdeen and back at home in Kent. She became drawn to youth theatre while working as an assistant dance teacher and upon settling in Sheffield, took up the position of dance instructor for a well-known national theatre school. Here, she spent ten years teaching young people, choreographing for performances at the Manchester Palace, Bradford Alhambra and London Palladium, as well as Sheffield Theatres.
In addition to this, she has worked as movement director on youth versions of Jesus Christ Superstar in both Birmingham and London.
Gabi is also a tutor for the community outreach organisation Musical Works, with whom she teaches street and jazz dancing to children and teenagaers at youth groups, schools and festivals all over Sheffield.
